Scrapfriends

Hi scrappy friends, another quick share from me today.  This month I decided to play along with Scrapfriends sketch challenge.  It was a tough one for me as I'm no good with circles, and couldn't get it to work !!  It's taken me FOREVER to get this LO done.  Here is my LO

I chose not to use arrows, but instead lots of mists, water and paint and washi to create the background.  I've used WOW chipboard (from the Savvy shop), as well a beautiful satin flower from Purple Pumpkin.  Lots of kaiser flowers, flair button and fabric button both from Purple Pumpkin.  I love this photo of Aidan and the enjoyment on his face playing in the fountains :)

Here is the sketch if you would like to play along.

That's it today.  Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you've had a great weekend, and have lots of scrappy plans for the week.

Until next time, happy scrapping

Mr Mojo.....

Seems to be missing this last week or so  :(  Maybe it has to do with the fact that I'm studying again and trying to complete my certificate before November, as well as work, football training, basketball and general life !!  I just don't seem to have had much time of late to enjoy my scrapdesk  :(

Anyway, I have one share for you today.  It's not my favourite LO, there is something missing.  Can't quite put my finger on it, perhaps there's just too much white "space" for my liking.

SWING KING

Plenty of Purple Pumpkin goodness on this LO to go with the bright colors.

Thanks for stopping by.  If there is anyone who still visits, would love to hear.  I've been doing lots of blog reading lately but just haven't had a chance to leave any love :(  Going to have to change that this week !!!

Have a lovely scrappy week.

White with 1

I haven't had much time for scrapping this week, but I have managed to play along with the current challenge at White with 1.    This month the challenge was to use White/Black/Banners or Badges

Here's my LO

Another photo from our USA holiday scrapped  :)  Have used plenty of Purple Pumpkin embellies on this LO.

Just a quick stop today as I've got plenty of work to do.  But I'll be back to share my LO for the May Sketch Challenge at Scrapbook Savvy later today/tonight

Have a great day, and happy scrapping

So many LOs to share

Hi everyone, another week down...where is the time going.  This post is quite a long post (for me) as I've been scrapping up a storm using the FANTASTIC  "He's Savvy" Kit from Scrapbook Savvy and more AWESOME embellishments from Purple Pumpkin over the weekend   My first LO using PP embellies, is based on the Scrapfriends May Sketch.

And my LO

"MONSTER MADNESS"

I focused on the colors in my niece's make up and hair for this one.  Plenty of PP embellies on here - A ticket, Tag, Large Spotty Button, Washi Tape - Black Loops and a Flair Spotty Button.  You can find them all in the shop HERE.

I had plenty of fun with misting, inking and doodling - can you tell??  A close up of the large spotty button

And of the tag I have inked and stamped

Next are my LOs using the "He's Savvy Kit" from Scrapbook Savvy.  Such a great kit to work with.  So far I've managed 3 LO's and still have enough papers, alphas and a couple of embellishments for another one !!  There are still a couple left in the store, so be quick and grab yourself a great kit.

Here's the kit

"MY BIG BOY"

I have used the hexagon die cut as a mask on this LO with texture paste and then a quick splash of gesso over the top.   Sprayed the alphas with Dylusion ink.  Journal tag is the only embellishment not included in this kit

LO is based on a "Page Drafts" sketch

"MATES"

"3 DAYS"

The only extra items I've used on all 3 LOs are a journal tag on LO 1 and a Purple Pumpkin Skull button on my last LO.  Great kit to work with !!  I still have enough to create one extra LO so I might just start doing that tonight.

Hopefully you made it to end of that !!

Have a super week, and until next time.....happy scrapping

New month.....new sketch

May already !!!  Where has the time gone??  Just a short post today to show you the NEW sketch over at Purple Pumpkin.  Another great sketch to play along with  :)

Here's the sketch

And here is my take on it

I've used plenty of Purple Pumpkin goodness on here - Flair Button Star and Rock Star, twine and a corduroy button.  You can find all of these items here

Don't forget you have until the end of May to enter and you don't have to use PP embellies on your LO to play along.

There will be two fabulous Purple Pumpkin prizes!
$25 & 15$ to spend in the Purple Pumpkin shop - one winner will be chosen by the design team, and the second will be a random prize draw.

Until next time...happy scrapping

Something different for me :)

What a beautiful sunny day it is in Melbourne today.  Quite windy, but the sun is shining so all is good in the world  :)

Just a quick share today.  This LO is created using the fantabulous Purple Pumpkin embellishments.  I was inspired by a sketch I found on Liz's blog "The Scrappiest".

There are 2 things different on this LO - the color pink and flowers !!!  Yep, I decided to have a go at all things "feminine" with this one (not sure how I went!!) and I think it turned out OK.

On here I have used Purple Pumpkin Flair Buttons Script and Spotty.  The script button would be one of my new favourites.  Might have to scrap "girly" more often to use them  :)  Again, I've used PP Tickets and can you see the tiny Resin flower on the bottom LHS?  Cute hey??  Also used some old Prima flowers I had in my stash and I think it's an October Afternoon paper range.   Rub ons, ink and paint are also never far from my work  :)

A couple of close ups of the PP embellishments.

If you have time this weekend and are looking for some scrappy inspiration, why not join in the Sketch Challenge at Purple Pumpkin.  You don't have to use PP embellies and there's great prizes to be won.

Or, why not come and join in the Cybercrop that's happening NOW at Scrapbook Savvy.  There are 5  challenges in total, and if you complete ALL 5 by Sunday night you could win yourself a "He's Savvy Kit".

All details can be found on the BLOG or Facebook.

I hope you all have a great weekend, whatever you might be doing.  Me, I've got boys football all day Sunday so tonight I will be taking it easy.

Until next time......happy scrapping

Savvy News....and a LO to share

How is everyone today?  I've got some exciting news to share - I have been offered a DT spot over at Scrapbook Savvy !!!!  I couldn't believe it when I received the email from Sar, but I am over the moon to be a part of this great team.

You can view the announcement here.  A big congrats to Chloe Nielsen who also made the team. Looking forward to working with everyone over the next 6 months.

Now onto the important stuff !!  My first assignment was to create a challenge for the cybercrop that is happening NOW.  From today, 25/4 until NEXT Thursday we will have 5 challenges to join in.

You can register here, so I hope you can as we would love everyone to join in.

My challenge is to create a LO using the word

DREAM or DREAMING or DREAMS

somewhere on there.

Nice and easy to start with.  And here's my LO

BIG DREAMS

My son Bailey is a huge AFL fan, and he hopes to one day play for his beloved Bombers.  We all have to dream  :)

One my LO I have used some awesome Purple Pumpkin embellies.  I've used a Kraft Tag in the top corner (I've cut and inked it) as well as a Chevron Flair Button. I've also used some fabulous washi tape. Such versatile embellies, and always work a treat on my LOs  :)

I've also used my favourite paper range by Teresa Collins - "He Said"  (can't get enough of this range for masuline LOs!!).  Love the Charms Creations Chevron, I will definately be using those again.  As well as that, I've used plenty of paints, inks, some mist and rub ons.

A close up of the Purple Pumpkin tag and flair

And the washi tape and the other half of the Kraft tag :)

Thanks for visiting today.  Would love for you to join in our Savvy Cybercrop and have a go at all the challenges.

To see all of the other challenges, make sure you pop all the Savvy girls blogs over the next few hours:

Don't forget to load your creations to the gallery, and ensure that it is an original LO for each challenge.

Also, don't forget that PURPLE PUMPKIN SKETCH challenge is still open until the end of the month.  You don't have to use PP embellishments to be in the chance to win some great prizes.  Would love to see a few more entries before April 30 :)

That's it for me today.

Until next time.....x

White with 1 ...... It's all about the cake !!!

Hi everyone, hope you're all having a great weekend.

I finally finished the challenge over at White with 1.  It took me almost the entire week to sit and down and finish it with all the kids after school activities !!!

The challenge was to use White, Yellow and follow a sketch.

Hopefully you can see the sketch in there :)  On my LO I've used Purple Pumpkin tags and tickets, washi tape, WOW chipboard, Studio Calico veneer shapes and Dylusions inks.

These pictures were from Aidan's birthday party last year.  A "Superhero" theme with all the kids coming dressed up.  The cake is made by me :)

Here is what my background looked like before I "prettied" up the page.  I've used plenty of mist, paint, water, ink and texture pastes.

And here's a quick close up of some of the texture in the background

There's still time to also join in our sketch at Purple Pumpkin.  Would love to see more entries before the end of the month.  Great prizes up for grabs.

That's it for today.  Have a great weekend and until next time.....

Footy Fever - Purple Pumpkin Sketch

Well, it must be the start of the footy season here as it's raining this morning - just in time for the boys to go to Auskick!!!  Oh well, that also means it's a great day for scrapping when I return home  :)

Have you joined in the Purple Pumpkin April sketch yet??  There's still plenty of time for you to enter and win yourself some fantastic embellishments.

Here is my first LO as a member of the Purple Pumpkin DT.  I used the April sketch for this LO

On my LO I have used the Flair Button - Chevron and Flair Button - Star.  They are so versatile on all LOs and I think they will become a staple embellishment in my stash !!  I've also used texture paste on the background, some Dylusions Ink (my fave) and some stamping.  I must say the Teresa Collins "He Said" papers would be new all time favourite.  Just great for masculine LOs.

A close up of the Chevron Flair Button

That's about it for me today.  Hoping to join in a couple of challenges this weekend if I can squeeze it in.  Will see how I go  :)

Thanks for popping by.  Please say "hi" so I can come and visit your lovely blog too  :)

Until next time, happy scrapping
