White with 1 ...... It's all about the cake !!!

Hi everyone, hope you're all having a great weekend.

I finally finished the challenge over at White with 1.  It took me almost the entire week to sit and down and finish it with all the kids after school activities !!!

The challenge was to use White, Yellow and follow a sketch.

Hopefully you can see the sketch in there :)  On my LO I've used Purple Pumpkin tags and tickets, washi tape, WOW chipboard, Studio Calico veneer shapes and Dylusions inks.

These pictures were from Aidan's birthday party last year.  A "Superhero" theme with all the kids coming dressed up.  The cake is made by me :)

Here is what my background looked like before I "prettied" up the page.  I've used plenty of mist, paint, water, ink and texture pastes.

And here's a quick close up of some of the texture in the background

There's still time to also join in our sketch at Purple Pumpkin.  Would love to see more entries before the end of the month.  Great prizes up for grabs.

That's it for today.  Have a great weekend and until next time.....

I'm late !!!!!

I'm late with posting 2 LOs I created for the start of month as my ipad wouldn't let me post anything while I've been camping this past week. So frustrating !!! Anyway onto what I have done :)

The first LO I've done is for White with 1. The criteria is

WHITE + BLACK + PAINTS/MISTS

Here is my example

This LO is about Aidan and how he refused to get onto the jetski until his Dad told him he would go really slow. Once he was on there, he loved it and even "drove" it by himself with dad on the back :) I've used lots of paint and ink, and misted the background with a trusty TCW mask.

This is the first LO I've done for WW1 for a couple of months as we were away in the USA and then the bad month last month :( Again, a big thankyou to Mel for being so awesome with me taking some time off. I really enjoyed scrapping this LO and hope you can join in with us this month. Plenty of inspiration from the talented DT girls and you can check out all the work here

The next LO I have done is for the first sketch at Wicked Princesses. A couple of months ago Krissy asked me to be on her sketchy team and I was rather chuffed to accept. All happened at a bad time though so again, I hadn't done too much until now. Hope you can join in over at Wicked Princesses and be in the running for some $$$$.

Here is the LO I created

On this LO I've used the Simple Stories "Destinations" range. Loved it for this photo of the boys waiting to board the A380 at Melbourne Airport. I have used papers, tickets, alphas and chipboard from the range and added in one of the boys boarding pass stubs and again, lots of stamping on the background.

And don't forget to join us in the current challenge at Bird is the Word. The criteria is to use YOU & ME on your LO. Too easy.

Finally, here is my new favourite cupcake bouquet I made last week. Love these colors together, they work a treat !!!

and these fun cupcake "sundaes"

If you would like to see more of my cakes, I have a Facebook page under Sweet Tooth Cake Creations. Would love for you to come visit and spread the word :)

Well, that's it for today, I'm off to keep unpacking the caravan. WIll be back tomorrow with a new BITW challenge and come past to visit everyone

Thanks for stopping by

New month, new challenges

Who can believe it is June already?? Where has this year gone?? The new month means new challenges. Here are a few LOs that I did over the weekend while I was on retreat :)

First up, The Scrappiest Sketch # 122

This LO was created with the April (and a bit of May) Boy kit from What's Old is New. Awesome boy kits !!! Check them out if you haven't already (but please make sure you leave something for me ;) )

Up next is White with 1 The Criteria was to use

WHITE/RED/CIRCLES OR POLKA DOTS

Next up is Black with 2 and the criteria is to use

BLACK/TEAL/STRING

Please excuse the bad images. My camera wouldn't play nice and let me upload the pics to the computer, so these are from my iphone.

Make sure you check out each of the challenges and play along to win some great prizes.

Have a great day

May challenges

I can share the news (and I know I'm late !!), but I was lucky enough to make the CT over at White with 1 !! Until this year I had never even applied for at CT position, and now I'm fortunate enough to be on 4 great teams :) I'm looking forward to working with Mel and the other girls over the next 6 months.

The May challenge is up and the criteria is

WHITE + ORANGE + SCALLOPS

Here's my example

I love this photo of Aidan. Thought the orange complimented the photo quite nicely :)

If you haven't played along before, make sure you head on over here and check out the other CT examples. And, the prizes are fabulous this month so don't miss out.

Black with 2 have a new challenge up, and again, it was quite a challenge for me. The criteria is

BLACK + METALLIC GOLD + MULTI PHOTOS

The black and photos I could do, but the gold.....hhmmm.... really had to put my thinking cap on for that (but I guess that's why it's a challenge :) )

Here's what I did

Hope to see a few more people join in. To see what the rest of the CT did, visit here

I will be back tomorrow with more to share. Working on a couple of things at the moment and hope to have those to share soon too.

Thanks for stopping by and leaving some love :) I really love reading everyone's comments. I haven't visited many blogs this last week due to personal reasons, but, that will all change this week and I can't wait to see what everyone has been doing.

Have a great day

Love it when it all comes together

I saw the White with 1 criteria this month, found a few things in my stash and what do you know, it came together just the way I wanted and in record speed for me !!!!

Criteria was olive green, twine and of course white

I did it a bit different and used the green CS. It hasn't come out the best in this picture, IRL it is more an olive color. I've used gesso on the background and I love the texture it gives. Other bits I've used are new Bella chippie pieces, twine, and a Dusty Attic chicken wire chipboard. Kept this relatively simple.

Thanks for looking. Off to keep scrapping

Have a great day
