New month.....new sketch

May already !!!  Where has the time gone??  Just a short post today to show you the NEW sketch over at Purple Pumpkin.  Another great sketch to play along with  :)

Here's the sketch

And here is my take on it

I've used plenty of Purple Pumpkin goodness on here - Flair Button Star and Rock Star, twine and a corduroy button.  You can find all of these items here

Don't forget you have until the end of May to enter and you don't have to use PP embellies on your LO to play along.

There will be two fabulous Purple Pumpkin prizes!
$25 & 15$ to spend in the Purple Pumpkin shop - one winner will be chosen by the design team, and the second will be a random prize draw.

Until next time...happy scrapping

Scrap the Boys...

It's so hot in Melbourne now, I'm quite sick of it to be honest !!!  So I decided to stay inside today while the boys were out and scrap  :)  This one is for Scrap the Boys.  I got a little confused though and used the sketch for Kraft it Up !!  Whoops, oh well will have to do another one for next time  ;)

The criteria for Scrap the Boys was to use:

2 Photos 6x4 or smaller
Chipboard
Washi Tape
Mists/Paints

And here's what I did with it

I've used plenty of mists, paint and washi on the background, and chipboard in the "play".

Photos were taken at Moolymook beach over the Christmas holidays.

Thanks for stopping by.  I'm off to do some housework now before I try and get stuck into another couple of challenges tonight.  Might even make our way to the beach later though.  Weather is disgustingly hot.  We need some rain !!!

Until next time, happy scrapping

SKetch # 112

I haven't had much time for scrapping this last week and have only managed to get my CT committments completed. This week over at The Scrappiest there is another awesome sketch to play along with. The DT have created some stunning examples, so make sure you head on over to check it out.

I did something a little different with this LO and used red CS. I'm not sure I like it but maybe that's because I'm so used to working with kraft and white. Anyway, here it is. Pictures are of my son Ethan on his 12th birthday this year.

I've used some old Rusty Pickle papers on this, as well as MLBOW buttons and Such Sweet Tierney buttons.

Working on a couple of other LOs that I hope to show you soon.

Hope you're all having a great day. One shift down, and I have another this afternoon. I've just received NEW Jillibean Soup, Echo Park Playground and Bo Bunny to play with. So best go get everything done so this evening is free for creating :)

Thanks for stopping by and leaving comments. Love them !!!! :)

Self Portrait

The mojo is in full swing, so I figure I'd keep scrapping away !! This time I have joined in at Color Combos Galore. Here is the Color Palette

I love these colors and found the perfect photo of Ethan to go with them. I really love how this LO turned out :)

Title is self explainatory :) On this LO I've used a trusty pizza box as the background. I've misted the background and painted chipboard. Have also added buttons from Such Sweet Tierney and Purple Pumpkin. Also a tag from 2BoysMama and one of Krissy's MVB flowers. The title looks black, but it is actually dark blue to match the palette.

Why not give this challenge a go?? Hop on over to Colors Combo Galore. There's plenty of inspiring work to get your mojo flowing.

Well, off to do some ironing now. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by
