A Little Bit Addicted....

to Red Tulip Easter Rabbits !!! This was the inspiration for my LO for the next challenge over at Black With 2.

The challenge is to use Black (dominant color), with yellow and fabric. Being a scrapper of boys, I don't have a lot of fabric in my stash, so all I could find were fabric lollypop flowers. Not very exciting, I know.... But, here is my LO

Would love to see some of my scrappy friends join in on this one. You have until April 30th to upload your creation :)

Do other people go through stages when they look at their work and go "blah". I am at that stage right now. Feel like I'm in a bit of a rut and am looking for ways to try to change it. I see all these wonderful blogs and what the very talented ladies are doing and wish I could do the things they do to get their work looking so fantabulous !!! Would love to know how you pull yourself out these ruts if it happens to you.

It is now half way through the school holidsys. They are going way too fast !! I am enjoying the lazy days and no rushing. We are off for Easter next Friday and I have plenty to do before then.

Best get on with it. Off to the shops with the boys today and then promised a game of Mouse Trap :) Football training after that, and hopefully I get to finish a couple of LOs I'm working on tonight.

Thanks so much for visiting. It really makes my day :) Your comments are super and I love reading every single one of them

Have a great day.

xx

  1. I love this fun layout Karen! Lol! I'm a little addicted to chocolate myself. ;)
I think we all go through stages of not liking our own work. I find that it works when I do a layout just for me (that's not for a challenge or DT work). I sometimes print of some inspiring LO's of other scrappers and try some of the techniques/colour combos they've used.
Btw, I think your work is beautiful!

  6. Love it Karen! Love the yellow against the black, it certainly has the WOW factor! I understand about the 'being in a rut' phase, it happens to me too. The only two things that save me are blog-surfing for inspiration, (which often might make me try something new), or doing a challenge that provides me with 'restrictions'...iykwim? XXX

  10. Your work is beautiful. I think we all get a little bored with our style now and then...try a new technique that might just pull you out of it. Your work looks perfect to me.
